The iCloud is a site that turns your browser into an operating system. To have your computer online you only need to access the iCloud and make your registration and quick and easy. Just enter your email and password and you're done, you can now access your operating system online from anywhere, on any computer.

Before discussing its operation is interesting you know what is on Cloud Computing. If you are in the area of information technology already have a notion. If you is not gonna do a quote.

According to Wikipedia, "A computer in the cloud or cloud computing is a computing model in which data, files and applications reside on servers or virtual, accessible via a network to any compatible device. Basically, it consists in sharing computational tools for the interconnection of systems, like the clouds in the sky, instead of having these tools locally (even in internal servers). The use of this model (environment) is more feasible than the use of physical units. "

We have all used in cloud computing and do not we realize this, and it is not today. This blog, for example, is housed in a "cloud" of Google, is there God knows where. This is the idea of computing in the clouds: store all the web and have the freedom to access data from anywhere via the computer network.

This is a subject that has generated much debate in the technology, mainly by companies that are still using fear about where your data is being stored.

Ever wonder where your emails are stored for example, Gmail or Hotmail? Must be some cloud around. : D
The discussion is long, but this is not the central idea of this post.

Returning to the subject, the iCloud is stored in a cloud (no matter if a server is in Brazil or there in China) and you have 3GB of space to store your photos, run your programs, access your instant messaging system, etc..

After you register you only need to access the iCloud, login, and let your browser connect, or rather, your operating system call. Appears to that progress bar when the computer is booting. After everything loads you'll see a desktop similar to Windows or any distribution of Linux-Desktop.

The iCloud for Firefox is still in development and is only available in alpha version. You can use Firefox, but Internet Explorer is recommended. Depending on your internet connection the process can be very slow. It is highly recommended to use a broadband connection.

For those who like to know (and use) the new technologies iCloud is a plate full. Fucei a bit but I believe they have many other features beyond that I am quoting here. The law that has spoken much in Cloud Computing (Computing in the clouds) but the answers are very vague, especially for lay people, but with the iCloud you can get an idea of what is the much talked about computing in the clouds.

Make your user account and start "playing" with iCloud. Good fun! ;)
